A Prophet Without Honor - Matthew 13:51-58

"If Christ is your greatest treasure, what difference will that make?"

1.  What does the image of being "tied to Christ" bring to your mind?  What are the implications of that image?  How is that image descriptive of what Christ intends our discipleship to be?

2.  Is there in you a willingness to be "trained" by Christ?  What would such a "training" look like?  Are you pursuing that?

3.  Is there in you a purposefulness to "bring out" from what has been deposited in you "treasures" for the benefit of others?  If not, what is keeping you from this?  If so, what does that look like in your life?  Is it actually a bringing out of what Christ has put in you?

4.  Is there in you a willingness to bear shame for Jesus?  What temptations are you facing in your life to avoid being identified with Jesus?  How does the idea of rejoicing in "suffering dishonor" for Christ strike you?

Note to Care Group Leaders using Sermon Application Questions:  Any feedback?  Does it help to have more questions to work from or is having more questions potentially overwhelming and just having 2-3 questions is better?  I'm grateful for any feedback you have.
